Obituary
Irene Harvey Wood Hughes, 99, of Madison Heights and formerly of Gladstone passed away Sunday December 17, 2006.
Irene was born in South Boston, on August 10, 1907, to the late Margaret Harvey and John Edward Wood. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frank Faulconer Hughes.
She is survived by her son, Danny Faulconer Hughes of Madison Heights: a daughter, Martha A Hash of Farmville; a granddaughter, Monique Hash Newman and her husband, Keith of Powhatan and two step great-grandchildren, Stephen and Lewis Newman of Powhatan.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home, Appomattox from 7-8:30 P.M. Monday evening.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Boston.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
