Ida Carter Hudson, 81, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at Guggenheimer Health and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of Homer Marcellus Hudson for 64 years.

Born in Appomattox County, April 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Mary Lake Galliher and Aubrey Randolph Carter.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Audrey H. Mason and husband, William of Forest, Angela H. Nance of Salem, David R. Hudson and wife, Lisa of Evington and Marc. D. Hudson and wife, Courtney of Lynchburg; one brother, Randolph H. Carter of Madison Heights; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
