Ida Melton Fleshman
Phenix: Ida Melton Fleshman, 87, 500 Turkey Creek Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2006. She was the wife of the late Everette H. Fleshman.
Ida was born December 19, 1918, in Charlotte County, a daughter of the late James Henry and Daisy Edward Fitts Melton. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Ida is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Jimmie and Shirley Fleshman; a granddaughter Joanie Fleshman Wood and Her husband Buddy; a great-grandson, Slade Simpson all of Lynchburg; two brothers Emmitt Melton of Hampton and Clarence Melton of Lynchburg, and a sister Lillian Saunders of Richmond.
She was preceded in death by two sisters Ella King and Annie Hines, and a brother Ervin Melton.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 12, 2006 in Midway Baptist Church by the Rev. Joey Anthony, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home tonight (Saturday) from 7:00 – 8:30 PM, and other times at the home of Jimmie and Shirley Fleshman, 92 Powtan Drive, Lynchburg, VA.
