Obituary

Holland Earl Boaz, 93, of Annie Street, Appomattox, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022.  He was the husband of the late Polly Boaz for 62 years.

Born in Fulton, KY, February 24, 1929, he was a son of the late T.D. and Verna Holland Boaz.  Holland was a member of the Ontario Christian Church, Ontario, VA, and a member of the United Methodist Church, Appomattox, VA.  He was a retired professor of Industrial Education at Virginia State University.  Holland received his B.S. from Western Kentucky University, his M.S. from Texas A&M University and his EDE from the University of Missouri.  Over the years he taught at the elementary, secondary, college and university levels.

He is survived by a son, Richard Boaz and his wife, Lisa of Irmo, SC; a daughter, Zona Major of Farmville, VA; seven grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gene Boaz; and daughter-in-law, Peggy Boaz.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Robinson Home with Rev. Norman Ramsey officiating. Masks are appreciated.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Boaz's Chapel Cemetery in Fulton, KY.
