Obituary
Hilda Elaine Shrock, 85, of Kristie Lane, Appomattox died Friday, October 19, 2012, at her residence. She was the wife of Dale D. Shrock, Sr. Born in Appomattox County on September 21, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Everette Wilson and Nannie Smith Blackwell.
In addition to her husband, Dale she is survived by six children, Donald Notestein, Elaine Grishaw and husband, David both of Appomattox, Suzanne Prentice of Florida, Charlene Pane and husband, Henry (Hank) of Maricopa, AZ, Pam Chavis and husband, Kyle of Farmville, and Dale D. Shrock Jr. of Appomattox; six grandchildren, Jessica Mason, Trisha Wooldridge, Matt Franklin, Kim Prentice, Les Prentice, and Dale (Trey) Shrock, III; and one great grandson, Hunter Mason.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Otis Blackwell, Arthur Blackwell, and Mac Blackwell and two sisters, Louise Cox and Eleanor Walton.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 in Liberty Cemetery by Rev. Jonathan Watson. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today, Sunday, Oct. 21 from 4-5:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 1030 Oakville Road, Appomattox, VA 24522.
