Hester Ayers Shull

Concord: Hester Ayers Shull, 72, of Toll Gate Road, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas T. Shull.
Born in Appomattox County, April 7, 1935, she was a daughter of Alma Pearl McFadden Ayers, of Appomattox, and the late John Crute Ayers, Sr. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Mrs. Shull lived by her favorite bible verse, Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two sons, Scott Shull, and his wife Georgia, and Steve Shull, and his wife Sherry, all of Concord; two brothers, Robert A. Ayers, of Appomattox, John C. Ayers, Jr., of Lynchburg; two sisters, Faye Crowe, and her husband Fred, Lucy Litchford , and her husband Christian, all of Appomattox; five grandchildren, Stacy Shull, W.T. Shull, Crystal Paxton, Josh Coleman, and Marie Coleman; two great grandchildren, Jeremy Justis and Grayson Paxton. She was preceded in death by a daughter Margie Coleman.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Bible Baptist Church, Appomattox, with the Rev. Robert E. Lee and the Rev. Darryl Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm, today,(Monday March 10) at Robinson Funeral Home, Appomattox, and other times at the residences of Scott and Georgia of Concord and Christian and Lucy of North Ave, Appomattox.
