Obituary
Henry Earl Covington, 66, of Coleman Rd.,Hixsburg, died Monday, July 7, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Gloria Jean Covington.
Born in Appomattox County, September 30, 1941, he was a son of the late Henry Judson and Ruby Ferguson Covington. Henry Earl was a retired dairy farmer, a member of Elon Baptist Church, the Woodmen of the World, and the Farm Bureau and was an Army Veteran.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two step-sons, Jimmy and Anne Williamson of South Boston and Michael and Dianne Williamson, Sr. of Appomattox; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia C. and John Dickens of Harrisonburg; five step-grandchildren, Joseph, Jessica, Michael Jr., Maryanne, and Mindy and five nieces.
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Barbara Jean Colgrove and a brother, Eddie Covington.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2008, Elon Baptist Church by the Rev. Steve Tyree with burial following in the Swan Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 9, 2008 from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.
