Obituary

Helen June Lester Coburn, 77, of Coburn Lane, Appomattox, died Friday, November 7, 2014 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Frederick Eugene Coburn, Sr.

Born in Corick, WV, on February 12, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Norma Esther Adkins and Loy Lacy Lester. She was a member of Coon Fork Baptist Church, Keyrock, WV. Helen was a Tool Crib Attendant with Bell and Howell for 32 years.

She is survived by five children; Frederick E. Coburn, Jr., and wife, Doreen of Appomattox, Larry Wayne Coburn of Springdale, OH, Roy Loy Coburn of Appomattox, Shelby Doreen Coburn of Appomattox and Kevin Coburn and wife, Becky of Burr Oak, MI; two brothers, Itol Gene Lester of Hensley, WV, Barry Keith Lester of Davy, WV; five sisters, Donna Sue Lester of Cummings, GA, Mary Edith Workman and husband, Joseph of Catawba, SC, Norma Darlene Lester of York, SC, Glenda Kay Orndorff of Pineville, WV and Terri Lea Fatony and husband, James of Pineville, WV; 11 grandchildren including one whom she raised, Kimberley June Burks, 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Wayne, Danny, Jackie, Mike and Verne Lester; two sisters, Judy Gail Kinser and Linda Ruth Lester.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 in Liberty Cemetery with the Pastor Scottie Craft officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
