Helen Ware Jenkins Baldwin, 91, died January 20, 2018. She was the widow of D. Twyman Baldwin and the daughter of the late Harry and Mattie Beard Jenkins of Appomattox.

Helen is survived by a daughter, Nancy Baldwin-Harkness and husband, Brent of Lynchburg and little Kate Bodie who she adored; granddaughters, Terri Baldwin Roshau and husband, Monte of Beulah, N. D. and Keri Baldwin Cariveau and husband, Rob of Bismarck, N.D.; and great-grandchildren, Kassandra, Brady, Austin, Bryton, and Kai.

She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Twyman Baldwin; brother, Bob Jenkins; and sister, Ruby Jenkins Webb.

Helen was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Appomattox and was retired from General Electric. God gave her the gift of playing the piano and guitar by ear. She loved her home town of Appomattox, crocheting, making quilts, and drawing small pictures of the countryside.

Nancy would like to thank the staff of Runk and Pratt, Forest, for their kindness, patience, and gentle care during her mother's stay with them. You are more than a nursing home, you and the residents are family. Also, thank you to Seven Hills Hospice, you are an incredible organization.
