Appomattox: Hazel Wooldridge Guill, 82, a resident of Babcock Manor Assisted Living Home, died Thursday, August 9, 2007, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Appomattox County, March 8, 1925, she was a daughter of the late James "Jim" Ernest and Emma Jennings Wooldridge.
Hazel retired from Courtland Manufacturing and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters Suzanne G. Mitchell, and her husband, Mike of Appomattox, and Cindy Guill of Spout Spring; one brother, John Lawson Wooldridge and his wife, Katherine of Appomattox; one sister, Vivian Caldwell Melton, and her husband, Clarence of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Rosa Mae Wooldridge Abbitt.
A graveside funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 12, 2007, in Evergreen Cemetery by Dr. Chris King.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Saturday (tonight), and other times at the home of Cindy Guill, 2009 Snapps Mill Road.
