Obituary

Hazel Lee Lawrence Franklin, 77, of 138 Babcock Rd., went to be with the Lord on Friday morning in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of Benjamin A. Franklin.
Born in Campbell Co., May 8, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Thurman and Elizabeth Ruth Wingfield Lawrence. As a homemaker and member of Rustburg Baptist Church and Rustburg Chapter #23 Order of the Eastern Star, she also volunteered her time at the Rustburg campus of Patrick Henry Girls Plantation.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Bennie L. Franklin and his wife, Connie, of Rustburg and daughter, Linda Dale Franklin Warford and her husband, Malcolm Leroy Warford, Jr. of Virginia Beach; four brothers, Thurman Lawrence, Billy Lawrence and Melvin Lawrence, all of Rustburg and Elton Lawrence, Madison Heights; three sisters, Frances Reynolds and Levay Hall, both of Rustburg and Dawn McCormick, Concord; seven grandchildren, Tonya Mayberry, Benjamin James Franklin, G.W. Hall, Jr., Tina Cullen, Chris Warford, Brandon Franklin and Susan Tilghman; Three great-grandchildren, G.W. Hall, III, Jaelynn Rae Carney and Ryan Alexander Tilghman.
Funeral services will by held 3:00 PM, Monday, September 5, 2005 at Rustburg Baptist Church by the Rev. Rick Cole with burial following in the Cumbie Memorial Cemetery
The family will receive friends Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00.
