Harry Albert Lillie, 84, of Richmond Hwy., Appomattox, died Monday, July 25, 2016, at Guggenheimer Nursing Home. He was married to the late Edna Carol Lillie.
Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, on November 8, 1931, he was a son of the late Anna Zangengburg and Edwin Earl Lillie. Harry was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War and for 35 years was the owner and manager of Lee Grant Civil War Gift Shop.
He is survived by four children, Edward B. Lillie and wife, Allison of Lynchburg, Sharon A. Ward and husband, Hallie of North Carolina, Melissa A. Lillie of Appomattox, and Allen Edwin Lillie and wife, Lisa of Lynchburg; 12 grandchildren, Haley Elizabeth Lillie, Shenandoa Kara Lillie, Cheyenne Raine Lillie, Christina Marie Lillie-Revels and husband Brian, Nicholas Gene Penson and wife Vanessa, Lillie-Ann Carol Petrey and husband Justin, Robert Dwayne Penson, Kaylynn Noelle Penson, Melanie Dawn Penson, Jennifey Lynn Williams and husband Joe, Katy Davies and Alex Davies; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah Revels and Eli Petrey.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenny, Earl and Bert Lillie.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, in Boonsboro United Methodist Church by Edward Lillie.
