Harry Obie Durie, 78, of Appomattox, died Saturday June 3, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born in Appomattox, July 22, 1938, he was a son of the late Dora Belle Godsey and Winthrop Southwest Durie. He was a member of Jordan Baptist Church.
Harry is survived by a sister, Evelyn D. Reynolds of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie, Robert, John, and Leslie; and two sisters, Nellie and Katie.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
