Obituary

Harris Allen Musick, 74, of Country Wood Rd., Lynchburg, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008. He was twice married his first wife was the late Virginia Elizabeth Woody Musick and his second wife is Betty Wilder Coleman Musick.
Born in Illinois, March 9, 1933, he was a son of the late Ralph and Velma Robinson Musick. Harris retired from the US Navy after serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was a member of Glory Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Betty he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Dale Musick and Jay and Susan Musick all of Appomattox; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan M. and Danny Bapties of Brookneal; a sister, Vida Latham of CA; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four step-children and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Allen Musick, a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, February 8, 2008 in Glory Baptist Church by the Rev. Jeff Worley and the Rev. Greg Taylor. Burial will follow in Gladstone Cemetery with military rites accorded by American Legion Post #104 Honor Guard.
A time of celebration will be held following the committal service at 2:00 pm in the Appomattox Community Center.
