Harriette Elva Harvey Robinson, 68, of Old Courthouse Road, Appomattox, died at Lynchburg General Hospital Monday, August 19, 2013. She was the wife of Ralph Wayne Robinson.
Harriette was born in Appomattox Co., June 9, 1945 a daughter of the late Hazel Elva Levisay and Thomas Coleman Harvey, Sr. She was a retired rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Ralph, she is survived by two sons, Ralph Wayne (Robbie) Robinson, Jr. and his wife, Lisa; Thomas Carmen (Tommy) Robinson and his wife, Sue; all of Appomattox; grandchildren, Andrea Nicole Robinson, R.D. McAllister, Jr., Page McAllister, Richard Rousseau, III and Crystal, Kenneth Corbett, Jr. and Mary; great-grandchildren, Ayden Dallas Almanza, Elijah & Briahna Rousseau, Avery Mae Corbett & Reid David Corbett; a sister, Mazie H. Carson and husband, Richard of Concord; a sister-in-law, Rae Grundman Harvey, Rocky Mount, NC.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Coleman Harvey, Jr., Gerald McLean Harvey and Charles Andrew Harvey.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday August 22, 2013 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Ron Moore. Burial will follow in the Harvey Family Cemetery at the home place.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday one hour before the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. and at other times at the residence.
