Obituary

Harold Abner Mann, 81, of Red House Rd., Appomattox, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Ethel Jane Giles Mann.

Born in Bedford, VA on June 15, 1931, he was a son of the late Julian Abner and Bernice Gray Mann. He was a US Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post #104, and retired from J. E. Jamerson.

Harold is survived by a son, Larry D. Mann; a daughter, Amy M. Stewart and husband, Robert all of Appomattox; a special niece, Nancy Reynolds of Appomattox, two great nephews, P. G. Reynolds of Appomattox and Dustin and Cary Reynolds and their daughter, Laurel of Morgantown, WV; step-granddaughter, Laurey Stewart; three step-great-grandchildren, Braedan, Kaedance, and Cohldan all of Appomattox; two brothers, Bradley L. Mann Sr. and wife, Gail of Appomattox and William (Bill) Mann and wife, Tootsie of Evington; two sisters, Betty M. Hale and husband, Billy and Cat Tyree all of Lynchburg.

A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Liberty Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Rusty Small.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral home today (Sat.) from 4-6 p.m.
