Obituary
Grant Ostrander Johnson, Jr., 66, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at his residence in Appomattox, VA. Mr. Johnson was born May 22, 1946 in Elizabeth, NJ. He served in the United States Army from 1965 – 1971, where he received the following: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14). He was the superintendent for the Parker Avenue Apartments in Manasquan, NJ for 17 years before retiring to Appomattox, VA in 2008.
Surviving are his companion of 26 years, Mildred Obremsky, her children, Rob Mott, Cindy Mott, Tina Windle, Tim Mott, and Jodi Thomas, and his son, Shawn Johnson.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Monday, July 16, 2012, at 10:00 am, at Robinson Funeral Home, 667 Court Street, Appomattox, VA. Mr. Johnson's final resting place will be in the Virginia Veteran's Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia, VA.
