Obituary
Grace Deaner Taylor, 83, of Appomattox, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Shelby Taylor.
Born in Appomattox County, on August 12, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Elsie Pankey and William W. Deaner. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Sammy Motley; a son and daughter-in-law, Robin Dale and Debbie Taylor of Gastonia, NC; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Walton Taylor.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 26, 2014, in Centenary United Methodist Church by Pastor Robin Dale Taylor and Pastor Herndon Jeffreys. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church one hour before the service.
