Glenn T. Harris, 66, of Cub Creek Road, Appomattox, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his residence.
Born June 13, 1949 he was a son of Loretta and Clyde E. Lipscomb. Glenn served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army. He was a heavy equipment operator for Buckner Construction.
In addition to his parents he was survived by two daughters, Sherry Vencil and Vanessa Parks; a step-daughter, Glenda Morris all of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Ed L. Lipscomb and wife, Netta of Windsor, NC and Wayne Lipscomb of Appomattox; a sister, Rhonda K. Lipscomb of Appomattox; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Beard and Hannah Parks; and several half-sisters.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Lipscomb.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Allen Lipscomb officiating. Military rites accorded by American Legion Post #104 and VFW #9855 combined honor guard. Burial will be held in the Lipscomb Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
