Gladys Moore Riley, 85, of Bethany Rd., Rustburg, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Avante at Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late Clarence Carlton Riley, Sr.
Born in Danville, VA, on August 21, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Daisy Long and Elisha B. Moore. She was the owner of Jack's Place from 1972-1988, a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by three sons, Charles (Buddy) Hart; C. Carlton Riley, Jr. and his wife, Bridget and Sidney Riley and his wife, Debbie all of Rustburg; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Hart, Michael Hart, Phillip Riley, Jamie Riley, Nicole Riley, Amber Riley and Hailey Riley; four great-grandchildren, Mikey, Jaden, Schylar and Gage; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Anita Hart; three brothers and eight sisters.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Bethany United Methodist Church by the Rev. Patrick Pillow. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m., on Friday, March 7, 2014 and other times at the residence.
