George Timmons Richards of Lynchburg passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019.

He was born in Lynchburg, January 30, 1929, the son of the late William French Richards and Gertrude Emelie Homeyer Richards. George was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Petticrew Richards, his second wife, Gladys Wilmar Richards and his third wife, Florence Heath Richards; his daughter, Anna Gale Richards Schultz and his siblings, William French Richards, Jr. and his wife, Blanche, Stephen French Richards, Sr., and a sister, Anna Gale Game and her husband, Bob; one grandson, Christopher George Manley; and a stepson-in-law, Floyd E. Williams.

George is survived by his daughters, Brenda Davis (Bill) and Janet Manley both of Lynchburg; two stepdaughters, Barbara Williams of Appomattox, and Teresa Poe (Richard) of Lynchburg; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Nellie Richards of Madison Heights.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Liberty Cemetery.
