George Vincent Gilligan, Sr., 86, of North Chesterfield, VA passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at The Barrington in Richmond. He was the husband of Delores Abbitt Gilligan.

Born on February 7, 1938, in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Vincent Gilligan and Jean K. Gilligan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, George Vincent "Vince" Gilligan, Jr. and wife, Holly, Patrick Garland "Pat" Gilligan and wife, Miho, and James A. "Jamie" Hurt, Jr. and wife, Tammy; a granddaughter, Maia Gilligan; two grandsons, Hunter and Austin Hurt; and great grandson, Deacon Hurt.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, January 17, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Steve Conwell.  A private burial will be held at New Hope Baptist Cemetery.
