George Marvin Booth, Jr., of Concord, died Sunday, May 13, 2018. For 63 years he and his wife, Norma Jean Fitch Booth, shared their life together.

Born in Sherwill, January 15, 1927, he was a son of the late Katie Thompson and George Marvin Booth, Sr. George was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church. George served his country in the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, G. Marvin Booth III, and wife, Cindy of Forest and Jerry Booth and his fiancée, Cassindy, of Appomattox; one sister, Gladys B. Patterson of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lura Booth Carwile and Virginia Booth Coffey; three brothers, John Elder Booth, S. Russell Booth and Clarence Booth.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Grooms officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
