George Broadus (Mick) Page, 82, of Log Cabin Rd., Appomattox, died Saturday, April 05, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of Erma Ferguson Page.

Born in Appomattox County, VA, on April 1, 1932, he was a son of the late Virginia Lucado and George Washington Page. He was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church and retired from the Lynchburg Foundry. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Michael (Mike) Page, Sr. , and a brother Thomas Lewis Page.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Charlotte Page and Ricky and Lisa Page all of Appomattox; seven grandchildren and one step-grandchild, Connie Horton and husband Billy, Michael Page, Jr. and fiancée Brooke, Kristy Middleton and husband Mike, Angela Page and Todd, Jeremey Page and wife Lacie, Crystal Page, Kimberly Page and Carrie Franklin; 10 great-grandchildren, Billy Horton, Jr. and fiancée Logan, Rachel Horton, Dakota Page, Mikahlynn Page, Scottie Middleton, Spencer Middleton, Cooper Page, Haley Middleton, Parker Trent, and Mason Page; four brothers, Ned Page and wife Pat; Clyde Page and wife Cora Mae; David C. Page and wife Carolyn; and Richard Page all of Appomattox; four sisters, Lucille Durie of Lynchburg, Dorothy Harrison of Rustburg, Janie Martin of Tennessee, and Annie Steele of Appomattox; a special brother-in-law, Oral Ferguson and wife Christine of Appomattox; his beloved little buddy, Pepper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2014, in New Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. Ron Moore and the Rev. Steve Tyree. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at any time at the residence, 355 Log Cabin Rd.
