Gayla L. Scruggs

Pamplin: Gayla L. Scruggs, 48, went home to be with the Lord March 2, 2007, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Gregory A. Scruggs.
She was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, October 17, 1958. Her adopted parents are the late William A. (Bud) Doss and Gladys D. Gallier. Gayla retired with 26 years of service from Thomasville Furniture, and was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church, where she was a choir member and former sunday school teacher.
In addition to her adopted parents she is survived by her mother Sandra Joan Byers and father Warren E. Guill; one son Jarred Wayne Price of Pamplin; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy N. and Thomas S. Lowe Jr. of Concord; Two brothers Charles and Cindy Byers of Georgia; Steven and Phyllis Byers of North Carolina; Five sisters Lisa D. Doss of Montana; Rebecca and C.N. Baker, Karen and Eric Calhoun, all of North Carolina; Gwen and David Olivarri of Virginia; and Susie Ryan of Georgia; and two grandchildren, Baylee E. and Thomas A. Lowe.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday March 5, 2007, at Hollywood Baptist Church with the Reverend Robert Millis, officiating. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today (Sunday) from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. and other times at her residence.
