Sallie R. Martin has been notified of the death of her brother, Garland Herbert Reynolds. Garland was born in June 17, 1929, to Jessie H. and Alice Hagood Reynolds and lived his early life in the community of Liberty Chapel in Appomattox County. He and his wife Rita moved to California in 1956, where he worked at Hughes Aircraft Company until his retirement in 1993.

In addition to his wife, Rita, he is survived by his three children, Linda R. Kuester (Fred), Robert Reynolds(friend, Susan Woodbury), and Teresa Reynolds-Bates (Christopher); four grandchildren, Michelle Kuester, Nicole Kuester, Tara Bates Stout (Joshua), Alan Bates (Jennifer); four great-grandchildren, Oliver Bates, Ford Bates, Sydney Stout, and Caleb Stout. He is also survived by a sister, Sallie R. Martin and a sister-in-law, Belle R. Megginson.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Lonnie Reynolds and three sisters, Corene R. Davidson, Katie R. Martin, and Cleo R. Coleman.

A funeral service will be held at Liberty Chapel Baptist Church, on Thursday, June 15, at 11 am with burial following in the church cemetery.
