Fred William Kruschwitz

Fred William Kruschwitz, 84, of Appomattox passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. He was the husband of Margaret Maxwell Kruschwitz for 57 years.

Born on March 10, 1942, in East Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late Albert Max Kruschwitz, Sr. and Louise Kaelber Kruschwitz. Fred’s main purpose in life was serving his Lord.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Jeanine Lynn Polasky and James Mark Kruschwitz and wife, Mindi; four grandchildren, Madeline, Ellie, William and wife, Quayla, and Violet; daughter-in-law, Patricia Massie Kruschwitz; and two siblings, Al Kruschwitz, Jr. and Ann Gaydos and husband, David.

He was preceded in death by a son, William “Billy” Fred Kruschwitz; and son-in-law, Michael Polasky.

Fred loved his community and friends but per his request he wished his memorial service to be private for his family. They are grateful to everyone for their prayers and expressions of concern.
