Franklin Delano Kellam, 81, of River Ridge Road, Appomattox, died April 5, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Marie Arlene Kellam.
Franklin was born in Pungoteague, Va., on January 24, 1934 a son of the late Mamie Richardson and Allie James Kellam. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a Soil Conservationist.
He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Byrd and husband, Ben of Wachapreague, Va. and Rosemarie Martyn and husband, Thomas, of Wilmington, NC; two sons, David Kellam of Cleveland, OH and Mark Kellam and his wife Theresa of Rustburg, VA; six grandchildren, Christy Rhubart (Tom), Angela Sheppard (Mathew), Michael Kellam (Tara), Heather VanScoy (Tyler), Jeffrey Martyn, and Kimberly Silverman (Daniel); twelve great-grandchildren, and a brother, Allie Jackson Kellam and wife, Julie of Parsonsburg, MD.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Twilley Kellam and wife MaryLu Kellam.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3PM Wednesday April 8, 2015 at Quinby Cemetery officiated by Pastor Andy Cobb.
