Franklin Delano "Frank" Harris, 67, of Iris Lane, Pamplin, died Wednesday April 13, 2011, at his residence. He was the husband of Nancy Childress Harris.
Born in Crewe, VA, on July 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Eunice Estell Ray and Walter Harris. Frank was a retired carpenter and cabinet maker working for both J. E. Sears and J.E. Jamerson Construction companies. He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Sharon H. Vaughan, and her husband David, Chrystal Nichole Harris, all of Appomattox; two brothers, Levi Harris, of Chesterfield, Joe Harris and his wife Pat, of Hopewell; two sisters, Lizzie H. Spencer and her husband Alvin, of Appomattox, Sarah Sylvester, of Petersburg. He is also survived by three granddaughters and four great grandchildren, Kandice Hodges, her husband Brandon and their daughter Lacey; Bridgett Satterwhite, her husband Dan and their children MacKenzie and Daniel; Alysia Baker, her husband Klayton and their son Hunter; and very special friends, Maria and Robbie Coleman.
Frank was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2011 in Liberty Cemetery with Dr. Chris King officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence at other times.
