Appomattox: Frank Michael Cavallaro, 81, of 183 Pine Street, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at his residence. For 57 years, he was the loving husband of Mary Zapallinski Cavallaro.
Born November 30, 1924, in Fulton, New York, he was a son of Joseph Cavallaro and Agatha Torrisi Cavallaro. He was a retired school teacher serving the Perryville Maryland school system for 35 years. Frank was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Maryland Teachers Association. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oswego State University. Frank proudly served in the United States Army during World War II
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph John Cavallaro and his wife Dina of Forest Hill, MD; a daughter, Gay Cavallaro Womack and her husband Jimmy of Evergreen; a sister Millie C. Yager of Fulton, NY; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Cavallaro was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Dagata and Lucy Musumeci and a brother, Santos Cavallaro.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, July 17, 2006, in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church by Father James Gallagher with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
