Francis Harrison Northrop, 88, of Appomattox, died Saturday, July 27, 2024.  He was the husband of the late Lucy Northrop.

Born in Warsaw, New York, September 6, 1935, he was a son of the late Elizabeth Atherton Northrop and Stephen Northrop.  Francis was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving May 1958- May 1960.  He was a member of Rocks Baptist Church.  Francis was a Clerk with Erie Lackawanna and Conrail Railroad.

He is survived by one brother, Richard Northrop and wife, Margaret; nieces and nephews, Debra Hulett and husband, Keith, Richard Northrop, Jr., and Robert, Stephen Northrop, Bonnie Northrop Mora and Melquiades and James. F. Northrop and Alison; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Rocks Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Lee officiating.

Burial will be held at a later date with his family in Upstate New York.
