Frances Gunter Rogers, 101, beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother died gracefully on Monday, February 10, 2025, in Henrico, VA. She was the wife of the late Frank Wilson Rogers.

Born in Lynchburg, VA, on March 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Roy Washington Gunter and Helen Isabell Barlow Gunter. She was also preceded in death by her son, F. Wilfred Rogers and one grandson, Brian Trent.

Frances graduated from E. C. Glass High School in 1941 and was employed as the Office Manager and Chief Financial Officer for Appomattox Family Practice for 38 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Helen Darnell Trent; daughter-in-law, Patricia S. Rogers; son-in-law, Robert Trent; six grandchildren, Mandy Jordan (Eric), Penny Garrett (Bryon), Julie Rogers, Brandon Trent (Stacy), Matthew W. Rogers (Ashley), and Zachary W. Rogers (Kevin); nine great-grandchildren, Matthew D. Rogers, Joshua Gunter, Samantha Pettway, Jenna Jordon, Tyler Jordan, John Knight, Bailey Trent, Landon Rogers, and Mackenzie Rogers; and nine great-great-grandchildren, Kloie Rogers, Holly Rogers, Camri Rogers, Audrey Pettway, Alaina Gunter, Clyde Gunter, Otis Gunter, Aynslee Gunter, and Ethan Gunter; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the caring and dedicated staff at August Healthcare.

A Mass in Grateful Memory will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11 AM at August Healthcare, 1503 Michaels Road, Richmond, VA 23229.

Interment services will be held Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2 pm, Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Memorial Methodist Church Pastors Discretionary Fund, PO Box 9, Appomattox, VA 24522 to assist those in need or a charity of your choice.
