Frances Louise "Frankie" Mann, 64, of Railroad Lane, Pamplin, died Sunday, September 26, 2021.  She was the loving wife of D. Earl Mann, Sr. of 39 years.

Born in Lynchburg, February 9, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Annie Gobble and Samuel Jones Kress, Jr.  Frankie worked at Thomasville Furniture for 33 years and then worked several years at Walmart.  She enjoyed going fishing, making preserves, and loved animals.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Doug and Kim Ward, Jason and Cynthia Ward and David Earl Mann, Jr.; one brother, Sammy Kress, Jr. and Debbie; two sisters, Nancy Marie K. Smith and Roger, and Mary Ella K. Wilborn and William; one granddaughter, Hailey Nicole Ward; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Darrell Mann.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Concord Cemetery with Pastor Rayford Fleshman officiating.

Friends are invited to visit at the residence of her sister-in-law, Faye Doss, 1131 Oakville Road.
