Frances P. Harvey, 97, of Edgewood Street, Appomattox, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Curry Harvey.

Born February 28, 1918 in Lynchburg, VA, she was a daughter of the late Jane Lee and Robert M. Plunkett. Frances was a Charter member of Grace Hills Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school for 40 years; volunteered at Appomattox Visitors Center and Appomattox County Historical Museum. Frances was also a member of the Appomattox Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy.

She is survived by her three daughters, Jane Abbitt Harvey of Virginia Beach, Mary H. Bryant and Martha H. Ramsey and husband, Kent, all of Appomattox; one brother, Charles Plunkett and wife, June of Lynchburg; two sisters, Katie Beaver of Roanoke and Linda Davis and husband, Harry of South Boston; four grandchildren, Andi Bryant (Tommy Mayberry), Jamie Davis (Chad), Lauren Moore (Josh), Lindsay Bryant (Tim Pinelli); eight great-grandchildren, Blake Bryant, Karlee Davis, Kyle Davis, Tristan Mayberry, Rylee Anne Moore, Ryan Davis, Elisa Bryant and Ryder Moore; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two Brothers, Edward Plunkett and Robert Plunkett; two Sisters, Jane Plunkett and Yvonne Poston.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held, 11:00a.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Grace Hills Baptist Church (Appomattox) by the Rev. Adam Tyler. A private family burial will take place prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 6:30 until 8:00p.m., and other times at the residence of Martha and Kent Ramsey.
