Frances Davis Brown, 87, of Pamplin, died Friday, January 10, 2014, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Willie Woodrow Brown.
Born in Pamplin, VA, on November 10, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Nora Pugh and Henry Harrison Davis. She was a member of Pamplin United Methodist Church. Frances was a loving mother, daughter, and sister to her family, dedicating many years of her life caring for her family members. She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Brown; a brother, Henry Ray Davis; and four sisters, Florence Arthur, Myrtle Price, Virginia Harris, and Janie Almond.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Benjamin E. Brown and his wife, Shaunna of Appomattox and Kelli Brown Hulser and husband, Richard of Concord; two great grandsons, Behringer Ellison Brown and Jaxon Duane Hulser; a step-great-grandson, Caleb Purcell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2014, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Herndon Jeffries with burial following in Pamplin Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-5:30 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Robinson Funeral Home.
