Obituary

Franklin David "Rabbitt" Cawthorne, 68, of 6224 Old Millwood Rd., died Thursday, April 28, 2005 in The Carrington.
Born in Appomattox County, December 15, 1936, he was a son of the late James Daniel Cawthorne and Annie Abbitt Wooldridge Cawthorne. Rabbitt worked in sales and delivery for Westover Dairy.
He is survived by three sons, Michael J. Cawthorne, E. David Cawthorne, and Anthony Shaffer Burton and wife, Susan all of Lynchburg; two daughters, Michele C. Bernard and husband, Kenneth of Lynchburg and Shannon B. Thompson and husband, Pete of Christiansburg; six brothers, George Cawthorne, Dickie Cawthorne, Allen Cawthorne, Leo Cawthorne, Norman Cawthorne all of Lynchburg and Harry "Buck" Cawthorne of Indiana; three sisters, Doris Johnson and Helen Duff both of Lynchburg and Mary Sale of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a very special and devoted niece, Debbie Duff of Lynchburg and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Rick Ewing.
A private family committal will be held at the Wooldridge Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7-8:30 PM and other times at the home of Michele Bernard, 658 Rainbow Forest Dr., Lynchburg.
