Evelyn Goin Hamlett, 75, of Eldon Road, Appomattox, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Liberty Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Richard Flood Hamlett.

Born in Appomattox County, February 22, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Virginia Taylor Goin Mann and Ruben Goin. She was lovingly raised by her step-father, Herman Mann.

She is survived by four children, Bonnie Boyce and husband Jim, Wanda Kitt both of Appomattox; Richard A. "Tony" Hamlett and wife, Martha of Charlotte, NC and Sandra H. Wilkerson and husband, Jimmy of Lynchburg;; 12 grandchildren, Jeannie Sollie, Jerry Boyce, Richard Boyce, Joshua Boyce, Joseph Boyce, Rebekah Anderson, Robbie O'Neal, Sara O'Neal, Craig Bryant, Amanda Bryant, Steven Bryant, Alexandra Hamlett; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Justice and husband, William of Madison Heights; four step-siblings, Ray Mann, Tony Mann, Lois Notestein and Jean Cumbie.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
