Evelyn Yvonne Taylor Flynn, 53, of Patterson School Rd., Appomattox, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in Avante at Lynchburg. She was the wife of Leonard Flynn.

Born in Hampton, VA on August 18, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Carter Haywood Taylor and Shirley Mae Wisdom Taylor. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and retired from Thomasville Furniture after 32 years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister, Glenda T. Houtz of Dillwyn; a brother, John Taylor and wife Penny; her father-in-law, F. L. Flynn Sr.; brother-in-law, Dennis Flynn all of Appomattox and a sister-in-law, Kathy Lindsey and husband Kenneth of Madison Heights. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Ann Flynn.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Ron Moore. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19.
