Appomattox: Eva McCormick Bohannon, 67, died Saturday afternoon, November 17, 2007 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas D. Bohannon, Sr.
Born in Campbell Co., September 17, 1940, she was a daughter of the late James Edgar and Nina Dobyns McCormick. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Tina Bohannon, Appomattox; one brother, Willard A. (Pete) McCormick; two sisters, Phyllis M. Fitzgerald, Rustburg and Joyce M. Jones, Lynchburg; Step-son, T. David Bohannon, Jr, New York and two step-grandchildren, Rindy and Eric Bohannon; a niece who she reared, Nancy Godsey Webber, Lynchburg, and her three children, Michelle Olds, Brittany Webber and Niki Webber along with many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren R. McCormick and Henry A. McCormick and three sisters, Margie Taylor, Beatrice Woody and Edith Godsey.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bruce Johnson with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Lynchburg General Hospital, Diabetic/Renal Unit and her family and friends who were so faithful during her illness.
