Eunice Garrett Crews, 80, of Appomattox, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Farmville. She was the wife of the late Thomas Wadsworth Crews.
Born in Appomattox Co. on June 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Abner and Mary Robertson Garrett. She was a member of Spout Spring Baptist Church.
Eunice is survived by two sons, Charles Thomas Crews, and Joseph C Crews, both of Appomattox; two daughters Mildred C. Dunigan of Spout Spring, and Jenny C. Steadman, and her husband Ricky of Appomattox; two grandchildren, Crystal Dunigan and James Dunigan; three brothers, William T. Garrett and his wife, Mary and David T. Garrett all of Evergreen, and Herbert C. Garrett of Appomattox; one sister Mary E. Pillow, and her husband, Walter of Gladys a brother-in-law, Charles L. Crews , and two sister-in-laws, Marion Garrett and Paige Garrett all of Appomattox.
In addition to her husband, Eunice was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie V. Garrett, Garland R. Garrett, and Robert Garrett.
The family would like to give special thanks to Trinity Mission Health and Rehab and staff for the dedicated loving care given to Eunice and the support of her family.
Funeral services will be held 2pm, Saturday, May 28,2011, at Robinson Funeral Home, by the Rev. George Kreidel. Burial will follow in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today, Friday, May 27, 2011, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence of Ricky and Jenny Steadman, 1520 Country Club Rd. Appomattox, Va 24522.
