Eula Mae "Dinah" Perdieu Gunter, 86, died Saturday afternoon, January 20, 2007 in the Lynchburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Eddie Gunter, Sr.
Born in Appomattox, Co., June 24, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Sally Ann Yost and Elmer Allen Perdieu.
Mrs. Gunter is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie, Jr. and Cecile; and daughter, Patsy G. Ferguson all of Lynchburg; a sister, Doris P. Bryant of Norfolk; and five grandchildren, Veronica Crabtree and husband Barry, Gregory Gunter and wife Karen, Scott Andrew Gunter and wife Karen, Christopher Gunter and wife Lisa, and Wendy F. Gunn and husband Chris; 13 great-grandchildren, Amber C. Roach and husband Paul, Derrick, Brandon, and Cari Crabtree, Hallie, Kendall, and Samuel Gunter, Erica Chelsea, and Morgan Gunter, Nathan Gunter, Megan and Matthew Gunn.
She was preceded in death by three sisters Della, Janie and Flora; and four brothers Billy, Henry, Aubrey, and Luther.
Funeral services will be held, 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 23, 2007 in Thomas Terrace Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark Grooms with burial to follow in Concord Cemetery.
A visitation will be held prior to the service in the church from 12:30 PM until the start of the service, and other times at the home of Eddie Gunter, Jr.
