Obituary
Pamplin: Etta Lucado Cumby, 93, died Sunday, May 21, 2006. She was married to the late Lynford W. Cumbey for 68 years.
Born in Appomattox County, October 21, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Willie P. and Frances Chaney Lucado. Mrs. Cumbey was a member Elon Baptist Church and a seamstress.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Cumbey Austin of Richmond; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Austin and his wife, Beth of Richmond, Kevin Austin of Nashville, TN and Brian Austin of Richmond; two great grandchildren, Kate and Ella Austin; one brother, Robert W. Lucado of Newnan, GA and a sister, Arleen L. David of Charlotte, NC.
Graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, May 26, 2006 in Pamplin Cemetery by the Rev. John Campbell.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 pm Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Robinson Funeral Home.
