Esther Justine Hall Daniel, 95, of Rhode Island Ave., Lynchburg, died Friday, August 4, 2017. She was a daughter of the late Ada and John Thomas Hall. Esther was born on February 8, 1922, at her home in Campbell County, Va., and was delivered by her grandmother, Betty Hall.

She was a member of Rustburg United Methodist Church where she served with the Methodist Youth Fellowship and the coat ministries. She was a retired clerk with the Lynchburg Health Department.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Bushong of Appomattox and Diane Davis of Stanton; four grandsons, Brian, David, John, and Zachary; four great-grandson, Declan, Nicholas, Isaac, and Mark; and two daughters-in-law, Sandra Daniel and Barbara Daniel.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Steven Daniel; a brother, John Thomas Hall, Jr.; and a sister, Edna Alice Rowles.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 7, 2017, at Wesleybury United Methodist Church by Pastor Sung Yoo and Pastor Liz Eckland.
