Erma Shelton Woody, 76, of Old Bethany Road, Pamplin, died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at her residence. She was the wife of the late William L. "Bill" Woody.
Born February 23, 1941, in Unicoi, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Edith and Walter Shelton. She was a member of Rocks Baptist Church. Erma retired first from Craddock and Terry and then as head bookkeeper with the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Otis Richardson of Pamplin and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Rocks Baptist Church by the Rev. Thomas D. Jones and Rev. Doug Lee. Burial will follow in Rocks Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
