Erma Martin Watson, 91, of S. Church Street, Appomattox, died Monday, August 28, 2017, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas Christian Watson.
Born in Appomattox County, Va., on August 21, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Maude Ferguson and Joel W. "Jack" Martin. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and retired from Appomattox Garment Company.

She is survived by four sons, Joel "Butch" Watson of Scottsboro, AL; Darrell Christian Watson, Stewart A. Watson and wife, Cindy all of Appomattox, and Marshall Allen Watson of Concord; one sister, Jearline M. Hawes and husband, Glen of Lynchburg; 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, H. Ottoway Martin.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Old Herman Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Watson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home and others times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Stewart and Cindy Watson.
