Emmett Terry "Pee Wee" McCormick, 66, of Gladstone, passed away January 4, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Emmett was born April 19, 1947 in Buckingham Co. (Greenway Farm) a son of the late Virginia Ann (Castel) Phelps and William Douglas McCormick. He was a woodcutter, had been disabled for a number of years and was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sisters, Shirley M. Robertson of Gladstone; Betty M. Doss of Winona, MO and a brother, Bailey D. (Tick) McCormick and his wife, Jean of Gladstone and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosa Lee Neas; brothers, Harry M. McCormick, Sr.; William D. McCormick; Samuel (Guy) McCormick; Malcolm (Tom) McCormick and Ernest (Dooley) McCormick.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday January 7, 2014 in the McCormick Family Cemetery by the Rev. Curtis Walker. The family will receive friends at the home of Shirley Robertson.
