Emma Jean Reynolds Martin, 76, of Fayetteville, NC and formerly of Red House, VA passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a friend to all. Her grandchildren meant everything to her. She was the wife of William Noble (Bill) Martin, Jr.
Born in Campbell County, VA on April 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Gordon and Margaret Foster Reynolds. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Red House, a graduate of Radford University, and together with her husband owned and operated The Wiener Works Restaurants in Fayetteville.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, William Noble (Billy) Martin III and his wife Nancy of Odessa, FL; three grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, Willi, Derek and Emmy; two brothers, Lonnie Reynolds and wife Joyce of Red House and Alvin Reynolds and wife Beth of Pamplin; and a sister-in-law, Ann Reynolds of Red House; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Theodore (Ted) Reynolds Martin and a brother Foster Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00, Saturday June 22, 2013 at Providence Baptist Church by the Rev. Anthony Reeves and Rev. Scott Curtis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today, Friday, from 7-8:30 p.m.
