Emma Viola Mann Fields, 87, of Appomattox went to be with her father in heaven on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Emma was the wife of Haven Boyce (Bob) Fields for almost 68 years.
Born in Spout Spring, on October 30, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Edner and Annie Mayberry Mann. Emma was a member of Spout Spring Baptist Church and retired from Courtland Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by one brother, five sisters, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three children, Hazel Wilson, Mildred Jean Thompson and husband, Eugene, and Haven M. Fields, Sr. and wife, Carolyn; a brother, William Edward Mann, Sr.; a sister, Laura (Pumpkin) Martin; 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, June 4, 2010, in Spout Spring Baptist Church by Rev. Paul D. Kvasnicka. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Thursday, June 3 from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the residence.
