Obituary
Elwood Maynard Hamlet, 78, of Midway Rd., Phenix, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in The Summit.
Born in Charlotte County, December 30, 1928, he was a son of the late Otha Julian and Mamie Joy Hamlet. Elwood was a member of Midway Baptist Church and a retired carpenter and dairy farmer.
He is survived by a brother, Hilton Hamlet and his wife, Elaine of Phenix; a nephew, Reid Julian Hamlet and a very special cousin.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2007 in Midway Baptist Church by the Rev. Chris Kesler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today from 7-8:30 p.m.
