Elva Bernice Waycaster, 79, of Old Evergreen Road, Appomattox, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 30, 2018.

Born in Amelia, September 6, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Charlie Waycaster and Lillie Belle Pittman Waycaster. Bernice was a loving, caring person who spent most of her life taking care of others.

Bernice is survived by one sister, Myrtle Childress of Pamplin, one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Waycaster; seven nieces, and nephews; and numerous great- nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Waycaster, and Glen Waycaster; and two sisters, Gladys Davis, and Virgie Waycaster.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Rocks Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Myrtle Childress.
